The Tallahassee Astronomical Society will be on the promenade South of the Challenger Learning Center (CLC) on Friday at 8:30 p.m. The optimum viewng time will be after 9:00 p.m. but be aware the trio is setting in the west and won't be there long. Jupiter is overhead and TAS will put a scope on Jupiter and its four visible moons.
If the viewing is poor, there will be a short slide show on Venus and this event in a CLC classroom at 9:15.
The CLC will be focusing on Venus and its phases in the new show Summer Skies Over Tallahassee that is playing at the CLC Planetarium this summer.
