10-21-2005, 9:38 PM flstarlady Joined on 05-25-2005 Tallahazee, FL Posts 77 Halloween Stargaze @ Maclay Gardens, Fri., Oct. 28th FREE.     Members and the general public are invited to join us in Maclay Gardens at dark for a Halloween-Mars themed evening of stargazing, education and fun.  We'll be selling raffle tickets for the Orion StarBlast telescope (a good starter, easy to use, great value!), the drawing will be at 9:00pm and the winner does not need to be present.  The moon won't rise till late, so it may be dark enough to see a galaxy, a few nebulae, certainly some double stars and Venus.  Mars will rise over the trees sometime after 9:00 or so.  Lots of educational material available and perhaps even a slide show.  Refreshments.  Contact info:  flstarlady@yahoo.com for more info.  Hope to see you there.
